The Single Flower Sangha holds regular three-day meditation retreats (sesshin). Each sesshin begins at 9 am on Friday and runs until 4 pm on Sunday. You can attend part of the sesshin in half-day increments. The cost is $50 per day or portion of a day.

Meditation retreats are held in members homes' in the greater Boston area, and in other locations throughout the US. To find the exact location or to sign up for a sesshin, please contact the Single Flower Sangha.

Group meditation extends from 6 AM to 9 PM for residents, and from 9 AM to 9 PM for daily attendees, and consists of zazen and walking meditation throughout the sesshin. Three vegetarian meals are served in the zendo. Students are responsible for cleaning up after meals and keeping the house clean. We maintain silence throughout the sesshin as much as possible.

Master Bomun gives a teisho each morning, was well as private interviews with students Saturday afternoon. Interviews are voluntary.

If you are coming from a distance, some sleeping arrangements are usually available, at the discretion of the hosts.

After notifying the Single Flower Sangha of your intent to take part in a sesshin, you can  reserve your space by printing out and completing the sesshin sign-up sheet, and sending it to the address on the sheet with your full payment.
